1919/23, "THE TURKEY IN ASIA POSTAL HISTORY COLLECTION" : Collection on 55 exhibition pages showing covers / parcel cards / money orders of Angora Period. Revenue stamps used postally by overprints of 1920 and 1921, ex Michel No.690-752. Including rare handstamped overprints “1336”, many bisect usages, scarce postal rates, Anatolian censors, mixed frankings with ottoman stamps and postal stationerys. Many covers are from important collectors as Passer, Arsman, Kuyas, Kinsky, Verschoyle and Max Mayo. Knowledgeably compiled and explained by Turkey expert Max Plantinga. - A very rare offer - in large album

1860, "Postahane-i Konya 1278" seal (Isfila no.3, RRR) on prefilatelic envelope from Konia to Constantinople with all arabic extremely rare negative cancellation, few light crease, otherwise fine
1887 (1303), blue handstamp on front and reverse of envelope "OFFICE SANITAIRE / DARDANELLES 1886" sent from the Sanitary Office of the Dardanelles in the Ottoman Empire to Ministery of Health in Istanbul. Envelope conveyed documents and health passports pertaining to epidemics and sanitary conditions, the contents were normally disinfected prior to forwarding. Fine and scarce.
1863, 20 pa. red-brown postage due tete-beche pair unused, with part original gum, hinge remnants, showing control band trial printings in both red and blue, the blue border misplaced ‘head to head’, a very scarce variety unrecorded in isfila catalogue, full to wide margins on all sides, fresh bright color, very fine and an exceptional and rare pair with tremendous visual appeal
