1873, folded commercial envelope with blue "GILDEMEISTER & Co." from LIMA to Lanman & Kemp in New York City, with blue oval "FORWARDED BY W. P. MAAL. A SPINWALL." mark from Panama, on front arrival mark "NEW YORK DEC 17", two vertical folds, otherwise fine forwarding agent ship mail.

1930, two stamps 10 c. orange tied to commercial cover by Reception de Sayan cds. to Georgetown Demerara British Guiana via "Transito / Panama" in red and Barbados G.P.O. on reverse, bilingual chinese address, minor crease, otherwise fine and unusual.

Crash of the Gipsy Moth Lady Elijah 15-8-1931. Envelop with the signature of the pilot Francis Chichester carried on his flight from Manilla to England, very fine. During a short demonstration flight at Katsura, Japan the plane hit some telephone cables and was totally wrecked. Chichester was badly wounded but recovered., Nierinck cat. 260

1864/1924, collection mint and used on 6 old album leaves, starting Isabella imperfs used, US administration some unused overprinted stamps, 1909-12 20 c. yellow with Hong Kong cancellation, few OB overprints, mainly used, some different as usual.

1857/58, ½ r. blue vertical strip of five and single, plus Pro Juducual revenue stamps tied by ink stroke on administrative document bearing an official “Sello cuarto de oficio” revenue stamp issued for the biennium 1858–1859, with a face value of one cuartillo on reverse. The manuscript contains period handwritten accounting and legal notations referring to payments in reales, postal or administrative fees, and transactions involving the state treasury (Hacienda) and a municipal court. The paper shows natural aging, foxing, ink marks, and wear consistent with genuine historical use, enhancing its authenticity and character. Aged with staining and faded ink as expected for a document over 160 years old. No modern restoration observed. Fine and attractive.

1865 ca., Official cover with decorative "DIPUTACION PROVINCIAL PTO RICO" seal mark with horse logo to Mayaguez. The cover is homemade with revenue stamp imprint inside, unusual, fine and scarce.

1867, Official cover from San Juan to Toa Baja, bearing two single Cuba 1864 ½ r. green on pink tied by elliptical handstamps to homemade envelope with imprint inside, postmarked ´Puerto-Rico 29/Abr 67´ cds. adjacent, as well as fancy handstamped ´Gobierno Capitania General [Military Governor] de la Isla de/Pto Rico´ official sender´s cachet; tiny toned, otherwise fine.

1872, 100 mil red-brown tied to mourning letter by mute cancel, "VALENCIA 28 AGO 72" cds. alongside, to St. German, Puerto Rico with arrival 18.9.72 on reverse, flap partly missing, otherwie fine, only few of such covers are recorded, scarce incoming mail.

1877, 25 c. ultramarine tied to folded letter by oval mute mark, Aguadilla 16/Jun cds. alongside, blue commercial “Küchler&Co, Aguadilla P. R. Jun/16 1877” cachet at lower left, filing fold not affecting the stamp, otherwise fine cover from a port city to Puerto Rico with arrival mark on reverse.

1879, 5 c. to 25 c. four different values tied to 3 large pieces by mute cancellations, transit marks London and Marseille, ms. ‘Via inglesa Francia’, fine trio.

1880, 40 c. grey tied to folded letter by unclear Puerto Rico cds., on top left ‘via de Ynglaterra’, with London MR.29.80 and Genova 31.3.80 arrival cds. Quite attractive and scarce.

1898, 1 c. yellow-brown pair and single tied to envelope by MAYAGUEZ PORTO RICO / MIL. STA. No 3 Nov 10 1898 duplex ties US 2c Carmine to envelope addressed to San Juan, backstamped MIL. STA, No 4 W.D.C. SAN JUAN PORTO RICO / REC"D Nov 19, cover flaw on top and missing most of backflap, fine and very scarce.

1898, war tax stamp 2 c.  on 2 m. orange, surcharged 'Impuesto de Guerra' tied by "Admon. Central / Puerto Rico / 6 Oct. 98" double ring ds. to commercial envelope with imprint, addressed to Chicago, some border crease, but still fine. A very rare use of the War Tax surcharge stamp on commercial mail to US.

1879, Turkey 1 Pia. yellow pair (1875 issue), one diagonally bisect tied by "POSTE EGIZIANE SUEZ 1/MAI/79" blue cds. to piece at arrival. J.v. Uexkull writes in his book "The postal history of Saudi Arabia" : "Sometimes mail from Jeddah was posted on board the steamer to Suez without going throuh the Jeddah Post Office. Such items were either cancelled in ink on board the steamer and then postmarked in Suez or left uncancelled" (page 37), fine and fresh, a unique bisect usage of an ottoman Duloz issue in Saudi Arabia!

1924/25, Tughra set 11 values unused, 100 g. and 200 g. regummed, otherwise fine. Plus 1925, ¼ pia. green/blue overprinted "Al Hukumat al/Hedschasija / 5. Rubal-al-Aual 1343", unused with gum toned spots, otherwise fine.

1937, al-Madina al-Munawwara green imprint on pilgrim envelope showing masjid an-nabawi, on reverse 3 g. ultramarine and postal tax 1/8 g. scarlet tied by Medina cds., transit mark Amman alongside, on front arabic censor and on reverse part censor Palestine, vertical folds and toned spots, opened out for display, otherwise fine and very scarce.

1891, Coat of arms issue 1 pi. blue, tied by double circle all arabic "MEDINE-I MÜNEVERE" handstamp in black (Coles & Walker fig. 28+29) to envelope to Der-Aliye (Istanbul) with arrival mark on reverse, stamp cut out and replaced (as often seen at this corrospondonce), tiny crease, otherwise fine. A very scarce Saudi Arabia forerunner

1904, Three Ottoman Hejaz Railway revenues 1 Ghr. on piece (perfs toned) and two single 1 Ghr. stamps obliterated by blue and violet manuscript

1907, YANBO UL BAHR c.d.s. (Coles-Walker no.37) on Turkey 1 Piaster postal stationery envelope to Egypt with Suez transit mark on reverse, tiny shortened at right, otherwise fine, mounted on exhibition page, showpiece 

1917, MEDINA: bilingual "SAHRA POSTASI 28" cds. (Uexkull fig.85) on registered fieldpost envelope to Constantinople showing on front "MUAYENE EDILMISDIR MEDINE-I MÜNEVVERE ASKERI SANSÜRLÜGÜ" military censor (Uexkull fig.86), tiny spots and crease, this is one of three recorded fieldpost from Medina and the only registered usage, fine. Unquestionably one of the icons of classic Ottoman & Saudi Arabia postal history. Certificate Nakri (2014)

1902, “MEDINE-I MÜNEVVERE” bilingual cds. (Uexkull fig.78, 3.000) very scarce 5 pia. plus 1 pia. rate for registered envelope with return receipt to Constantinople, some spots and minor faults, this is the highest rate we have recorded in PROFI for this period from Saudi Arabia, still fine and very scarce.

1927, 2 c. red used on large size U.S. envelope from New York City Hall to Bogota, bearing Scadta “EU“ machine overprinted 1923 Scadta pair 30 c. blue tied by New York duplex cancellations, Barranquilla 23.5.27 c.d.s. alongside, on reverse ”Agencia P.N. Recibo MAY/23/1927 Barranquilla" in blue and Bogota datestamp (May 25). Envelope somewhatfaulty and shortened at left, otherwise fine

1938, large-size registered cover from MALAKAL via Athens,
franked by set of ten stamps 1931-38 air mails, all tied by "Sudan air mail Malakal 4.3.38"
cds., reg. label on front, transit and arrival mark on
the reverse, greek censor on front, plus 3 piastres on 7 1/2 p. single from Port Soudan to Swiss, fine and attractive pair.

1850, DAMASCUS, "An Canib-i Postahane-i Sham" (Coles-Walker no.28) all arabic cancellation very clear on Tatarpost document Ottoman period showing additional postmark Deraliye Istanbul, fine

1871 ca., Folded envelope with content from Damas to Beyrouth with pair 30 pa. green, both tied by clear boxed all arabic "SHAM 81" to Beyrouth, scarce all arabic negative cancellation BEZOURYE (Isfila no.1, RRR) alongside as ususal, vertical file fold and tiny toned, otherwise fine and scarce Syria postal history.

1907, "HAMIDIE (DAMAS) 19.11.907" (Coles-Walker no.47) cds. Turkey on postal stationery envelope 1 pia. blue, via Beyrouth to Germany with arrival mark on reverse, a scarce usage, few tiny border crease, otherwise fine. (Isfila AN89)

1909, TRIPOLI (SYRIE ECHELL) (Coles-Walker no.135) cancellation on OTTOMAN BANK correspondance card bearing pair 10 Para green with arrival mark on reverse, fine

1911, "HALEB 6 - 30/1/11" (Coles-Walker Type C6) clear on telegraph, part red official label fold on reverse, form fold and light border toned, otherwise fine, a scarce cancellation.

1913, HALEP 8 (Coles-Walker no. 16) octogonal cancellation on 20 para postal stationery card written by a member of Bagdad railway company, arrival mark Berlin, fine, scarce and attractive

1919, “DEIR ATTIE (NEBIK) 26.11.19” octogonal late used Turkey cancellation (Coles-Walker unrecorded) on cover bearing pair EEF 5 m. yellow-orange, “NEBIK 29.11.919” cds. alongside (Coles-Walker no.107), on reverse transit mark PORT-SAID 3/DE/19, addressed to Denmark, tiny border crease, otherwise fine and a very attractive Syria forerunner.

1920, Aleppo local issue 1 piaster on 5 c. green with small red imprint on company letter from Aleppo to Vienna, tiny border toned and traces of transport, otherwise fine, a rare usage  (Yvert 50B)
