1855, Cover from Ibraila to Triest, struck with rare two line dated "IBRAILA / 2. SET." handstamp in green (Tchilinghirian fig. 728) in use for a short period in 1855 only in this colour. Reverse struck with "ALT-ORSOVA gereiniget b.k.k. Rastelamte 1855" c.d.s. in black, clear strike of "PESTH 8/9" in black and "Triest 10/9/Früh" c.d.s in red, usual file fold and cholera slits, scarce and fine

10 b. orange, clear to good margins, tied by clear blue "CALAFAT 23/9" to lettersheet to Braila with arrival mark of September 25th.

1872/76,  Paris printing 50 b. rose together with 10 b. blue Bukarest printing (two bottom corners with short perfs) tied on envelope by clear ‘IASSY 21/OCT/77’ c.d.s. and boxed 'Recom.' blue numeral 9835 and violet ms. ‘1348’ alongside, additional German railway registration label ‘vom Ausland über B.-P.5 (Oswiecim-Breslau) Eingeschrieben', on reverse blue threeliner 'REGISTERED NOV/14/1877' New York P.O.' and on front ms. receiving date OK 28/11/77, addressed  to Cincinnati USA, cover shortened on all sides and some crease and flaw. Despite some flaws, a highly interesting postal history cover with an unusual franking, rate and destination

“SAHRA MENZIL POSTASI 1” black all arabic censorship of Turkish fieldpost in Bukarest on bank letter from the “BANK OF ROUMANIA LIMITED-BUCAREST”, bearing Germania 25 B. on 20 Pf single fine cancelled “BUKAREST 4.Jul.18” with triple censorship to the Banque Imperiale Ottoman Constantinople with arrival mark on reverse dated 23.7.18. Turkish and German censors together on cover from Bukarest are extremely scarce, in PROFI archive is only one other such combination on postal stationery recorded

1875, TURNU-MAGURELE 19.7.75 cds. in blue on 5 b. postal stationery card used uprated with 5 b. ochre, transit mark DDSG Port GIURGIO 20.7.75 in black, transportet via Danube and black sea with Austrian Levant arrival mark CONSTANTINOPEL 22.7.75 on reverse, two light horizontal folds and tiny toned, otherwise fine and a very scarce destination to Turkey

1916, German cancellation FELDPOSTSTATION Nr.185 18/12/16 c.d.s. on officer mail from Bukarest with violet “T” in circle for Taxe, only soldiers mail was free, two different Istanbul censor marks and arrival mark on front. Sender was an officer of the commanding minister of war Enver Pacha, addressed to Djemil Bey Director ‘Nationale Verteidigung Konstantinopel’. Extremely scarce mix of German and Turkish Fieldpost in Romania during WWI

1858, Coat of Arms 10 k. brown/blue, vivid colours and excellent embossing, neatly tied by dotted circular “38” to entire lettersheet without text to Libava, reverse departure framed two-line “RIGA 6 NOV. 1858”, very fine and scarce

1865, Coat of Arms 5 k. black/reddish-violet, together with 1866 10 k. brown/blue and 1875 8 k. grey/carmine-rose, tied by two-line “BORCHAGOVA P(ostal). S(tation). 6 JANUAR 1877” (Kiev province, Skvira county) repeated on reverse with framed “ZAKAZNOE” alongside to registered envelope to Nechanitz in Böhmen, from there re-addressed with final arrival cds. “PRAG 24 1”. Two adhesives with minor imperfections, still very fine and attractive. A rare three-issue registered cover from a small office to a scarcer destination

10 k. brown/blue with 3k. black/green, two singles, fresh colours, tied by cds “S. PETERBURG 28 JULY 1873” to entire letter without text to Athens, Greece, adjacent straightline “AFF. INSUFF.” and Russian framed two-line “FRANKING UNDERPAID”, reverse transit cds “WIEN”, “TRIEST” and arrival cds “ATHEN 8 AUG 72”, fine and unusual underpaid mail via Triest

The 2 k. with trivial corner crease, otherwise very fine. A most appealing Breitfuss mail to a rare destination

An extremely scarce early registered UPU mail from Russia and an early use of the German label, with new rates coming into force on 19th June 1875 (second weight step 16 k. plus 10 k. registration plus 5 k. international receipt)
