1908, reprint of Meyer/Janvier, 1 sgr. brownish vermilion, sheetlet with 10 stamps, printed on sunken card. Some minor staining. Very rare, just 4 pieces recorded.

1859, Coat of Arms 2 c. black, 2 single copies with good to large margins, tied by target cancel of Wiltz to large part of newsletter title "DER AKTIONÄR" to Clervaux , with arrival mark of November 10, 1862. Fine and scarce.

1859/63, Coat of Arms 4 c. yellow in horizontal pair, touched at top, otherwise good to large margins, tied by cds. "LUXEMBOURG 6 MAI 65" to double rate printed matter wrapper to Düsseldorf. A rare franking. Signed Goebel and certificate Demuth BPP (1995)

 

10 c. blue, 'L'-shaped block of 3 from the lower right sheet corner with 1/6mm sheet margins at base and right, 2 stamps slightly touched resp. cut into at one side and some minor creasing, tied by circle of bars with adjacent c.d.s. "MERSCH 23/IV 1860" to entire letter to Saarbrücken, overpaid by 5 c. And attractive and rare franking. Certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

10 c. blue, fresh colour and good to large margins, showing ca. 6/8mm sheet margins at right and top, neatly cancelled by c.d.s. of Luxembourg and boxed "PD". Very fine (minor imperfections in the margins only). Several signatures, certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

10 c. grey-blue, horizontal strip of 3, tiny touched at upper left, otherwise ample to large margins, used with 2 clear strikes of 'Des de Bettembourg'. Very faint creases. Very rare and attractive. Signed FSLP and Goebel, Certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

10 c. blue, horizontal strip of 4, clear to mostly large margins, neatly cancelled by Luxembourg c.d.s. Right stamp slightly stained, otherwise very fine. Rare multiple. Signed Goebel with opinion (1993)

10 c. blue, clear to large margins, showing part of neighbours stamp at right, tied by target with adjacent "WEISWAMPACH ..JUIL 64" to small lettersheet to Luxembourg. Fine and scarce. Signed Goebel.

10 c. blue, vertical pair from the lower right sheet corner and single stamp, the pair touched at top, otherwise all clear to large margins, tied by square of bars with adjacent c.d.s. "ESCH SUR ALZETTE 8 VIII 61" to locally registered lettersheet (side flaps missing) with adjacent violet "Charge". Fine and very scarce.

12½ c. rose, horizontal strip of 3, clear to large margins, neatly cancelled by target (most likely of Diekirch). Slight vertical fold between the left stamps, otherwise very fine. Signed Demuth BPP and Georg Buehler

30 c. lilac with full to large margins, tied by circle of bars of Luxembourg railway station to piece, very fine, signed Goebel and opinion Böttger BPP

30 c. lilac, slightly touched at left, otherwise clear to large margins, tied by circle of bars with adjacent "LUXEMBOURG 4 DEC. 59" to small envelope to Liege, marked "PD". Apparently the cover fell into the second weight rate and was accordingly charged with  "60" centimes (the paid postage was neglected) and "PD" crossed out. Slight transportation marks, parts of the name crossed out, still fine and very unusual. Several signatures, certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

37½ c. green, good to large margins with parts of 3 neighbours stamps, tied by c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 12 SEPT 66" to entire letter to Radolfzell in Baden. This stamp in very fine condition, the entire with some minor imperfections. A very fine and rare letter. Signed  Goebel, Certificate Böttger BPP (2018).

 

 

37½ c. green, ample to large margins, tied by clear c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 12 FEVR. 60" to small blue envelope to the german province of Brandenburg. A fine and scarce entire. Certificate Demuth BPP (1989).

40 c. orange, horizontal strip of 3, ample to large margins, with part of neighbours stamp at left, cancelled by clear c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 5 JUIN 6.". Slightly cleaned, otherwise very fine. Certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

1865/71, colourless rouletted, 2 c. black in combination with rouletted in colour 1 c. and 10 c., tied by clear c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 19 9 75" to lettersheet to Vienna, with arrival mark. 1c. slightly rounded corner at upper left, otherwise very fine. A rare and attractive franking. Signed Goebel

10 c. bluish violet, block of four with clear central strike of blue "WEISWAMPACH 27 3 74". The upper stamps tiny marginal thins and some very minor staining. Still fine and most attractive. Signed Goebel and certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

10 c. grey-blue, vertical block of 6, colour very slightly faded, used with clear strikes of c.d.s. "MERSCH 26 AVRIL 73". Rouletting slightly split in 2 places and very light natural gum creasing, still very fine and attractive. A rare multiple.Signed Goebel and FSPL, certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

10 c. lilac, horizontal strip of 4, with c.d.s "LUXEMBOURG 2 JUIN 65" to letter sheet to France. Corner faults at upper left backed and 2nd stamp with tiny rouletting fault, still a fine and scarce multiple on entire. Certificate Goebel (2007, “sans defaut”)

12½ c. rose, tied by c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 28 JUIL 66" to postal money order for the amount of 50 francs to Diekirch with arrival mark and receipt. Name in the address erased and stamp tiny toning, still fine and rare.

20 c., tied by clear oval  "Franco", with adjacent c.d.s "DIEKIRCH 1 MAI 72" to small registered envelope to Wiltz. Some minor toning, still very fine.

20 c. grey-brown and 1875, 10 c. grey, tied to registered letter (side flaps missing) from "MERSCH 5/6 78" to Lintgen and redirected.

20 c. grey-brown, tied by c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 21 1 81" to postal stationery card 5 c., used as local cash on delivery card. Very fine (card 2 mini pinholes). Certificate Böttger BPP (2018)

25 c. light blue, horizontal block of 10, used with cds. "LAROCHETTE 27 1 78"; one stamp in the upper row with fixed pinhole, otherwise very fine and attractive. This is largest used multiple recorded of this stamp.  Signed Goebel and certificate Böttger BPP (2016)

40 c. orange, horizontal block of 6, used by clear c.d.s. "PETANGE 20 12 77". The upper stamps with unobstrusive thins and rouletting strengthened in places; still fine and very rare.  Certificate Demuth BPP (1982)
