1852, William 10 c. greenish black, horizontal pair with good to large margins, tied by circle of bars with adjacent brownish red "LUXEMBOURG 10 NOV. 53" and straight-line "Charge", to cover front with partly printed address to Mondercange. Very fine and extremely rare; PROFI has not recorded any further registered inland mail of the 1st issue. Certificate Demuth (1998)

 

1852, William 10 c. greenish black, vertical strip of 3 with good to large margins, tied by circle of bars with adjacent “LUXEMBOURG 6 SEPT 54”, to part paid lettersheet (side flaps missing) via Belgium to London, endorsed "affranchie Ostende" and charged upon arrival with "8" pence for the 2nd British rate (¼-½ oz.). A very fine and rare early printing strip on entire; just one similar letter recorded at this rate. Certificate Demuth BPP (1998)

Cover creases, not affecting the stamps, the entire with fixed tear at upper right, otherwise very fine and attractive. A scarce franking. Certificates Demuth BPP (1981) and Raybaudi (1990)

10 c. grey-black, vertical pair, clear at top, otherwise good to very large margins, with parts of 3 neighbour stamps, tied by circle of bars with adjacent c.d.s. "LUXEMBOURG 22 DEC 58" to small letter sheet to March-Les Dames in the 2nd Belgian Rayon, thus short paid by 10 centimes, but not taxed. Fine and very unusual.

1852, William 10 c. black, vertical pair and 2 singles stamp, all with ample to mostly wide margins, tied by circle of bars with adjacent "LUXEMBOURG 15 JUIL 55" to front and reverse of small blue letter sheet to Dieppe, France. The single stamps with faint creases, still fine and very attractive.

 

1852, William 10 c. black, 2 horizontal strips of 3, touched to large margins, tied by circle of bars with adjacent "LUXEMBOURG 1 MARS 54", to lettersheet via France to London. One strip affected by horizontal filing crease and overall toned. A scarce franking.

1904, Reprint of 10 c. in complete sheet of 200 subjects, highlighting the 16 positions used for the issued reprints, on  watermark paper, one stamp small pinhole, otherwise very fine. Also a complete sheet of the watermarked paper. Both sheets unused without gum. Very rare; only few complete sheets exist.

1904, Reprint of 10 c. and 1 sgr., both sheets  with 200 subjects (10 c. right vertical row cut into due to misplaced paper sheet, and one stamp tear) highlighting the 16 positions used for the issued reprints, paper without water mark ( 10 c. some values with papermaker's watermark), unused without gum. Very rare; only few complete sheets exist.

1906 reprints, beautiful small exhibition collection on 10 pages with reprints in different shades and on different papers, with a strip of 3, 3 blocks of 4 and several pairs; including also two multiples from the uncleaned plate. Very interesting.
