1863, Folded envelope cancelled CONSTANTINOPLE 31/8 in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 387) and FRANCO alongside, endorsed 'via Kustendje' (Constanza), sender cachet ‘Freres Simoff Constantinople’. The route of the cover is very interesting, from Constantinople by Lloyd ship to Kustendje, per Danube and black sea railway DBSR to Cernowoda and by DDSG to Roustschouk, file folds and tiny toned, otherwise fine. Nice postal history.
1874, 5 Kr. red on envelope tied by WIEN 6/10/74, red crayon “12½” and black JNSUFFISAMENT AFFRANCHIE alongside, to Bucharest with taxe mark ‘40 Bani’ on front, arrival mark 9/10 on reverse. Flap tiny flaw, otherwise very fine
1877, BOTOSANI 18.NOV.77 cds. on 5 b. postal stationery card used uprated with pair 5 b. olive-brown, perf.11, to Berlin with arrival 23.11, tiny pin hole filled, otherwise fine. Perforation lines on three sides.
1877, GALATI 13.AUG.77 cds. in black on 5 b. postal stationery card used uprated with two 5 b. ochre, registration mark “Ra=17/77” in black and ms."R23/8" alongside, addressed to “Speditions Abteilung des Österr. Ungar. Lloyd in Triest”, transportet via Danube and black sea with Austrian ship, arrival mark TRIEST 16.8.77 on reverse, tiny border crease, otherwise fine and a very scarce registered usage

1914, PPC of Prisoners in teh ARAD Fortress and fieldpost card to the military prison Arad with pair 5 f. postage due tied by ARAD cds., two scarce cards, fine
1915/18, Two postcards from Arad and to Arad with several german, austrian and hungarian censor marks, one card with postage due 5 lei, fine pair
1917, Arad Airport first air force cancellations on Austrian fieldpost card: "K.u.K. Militärbauleitung am Flugfelde ARAD" in circle with coat of arms and twoliner with same text in violet. The airfield was based on the area where Aurel Vlaciu, a pioneer in Romanian aviation, constucted hanger and buildings with grass runways, vertical crease, otherwise fine. Unrecorded and important early aviation marks.
1917, Postcard ‘Greetings from Tulcha’ used with violet russian type military unit cachet ‘Independent Romanian Fieldpost Department’ in cyrillic alphabet, addressed to Sofia with message in russian, fine and very scarce mail from romanian front.
1917, “K.u.K. Rekonvaleszenten Abt. beim Ersatz Baon.8c. ARAD” red twoliner on fieldpost card ‘Arad.Kossuth Szobor’ to Congorad Megye, unrecorded, very fine.
1918, DOBRITCH 30.1.18 two military occupation cancellations in blue and black on fieldpost card to Orjachovo, tiny border faults, otherwise fine.

Romanian stamps for a postal Agency in the harbour of Constantinople tied by clear POSTA ROMANA COSPOLI 20 APR 96 cds. to cover. Sent to Ploesto, on reverse arrival mark 21 APR 1896, one stamp corner fault, otherwise fine and a scarce mix of black and violet overprints.
1914, Turkey pair 2 pa. violet, 5 pa. brown and 10 pa. green tied to postcard from Constantinople by "BUR. AMB. MARITIM ROMAN CONSTANTINOPOLI - CONSTANTA 22/JAN/914" ship cds., arrival mark Simava 23/JAN/914, very unusual and attractive, tiny spots, otherwise fine and very scarce.

1920, Konstantinopel complete set of five values plus Mi. 6 without overprint on registered stamp dealer envelope tied by POSTES ROUMAINES CONSTANTINOPLE 25.5.920, addressed to Germany with violet twoliner “Vom Auslande über Dresden” and threeliner “Zurück / Einfuhr von Briefmarken verboten 4”, on reverse torn German postal label for opening and control, retour to Turkey with arrival mark POSTES ROUMAINES CONSTANTINOPLE 20.8.920 on reverse, few crease, one stamp toned perfs, otherwise fine, a very scarce usage and destination of this issue, shipping to countries other than Romania is unrecorded in PROFI
1919, CITY POST : stampless cover addressed to the Romanian Consulate at arrival postage due 10 b. (faults) and 30 b. affixed and cancelled by "CONSTANTINOPL-POSTES ROUMAINES 10.JUL 1919", large tear on top, tiny toned, extremely scarce and very unusual local usage in Turkey!

1795, Entire written from St Petersburg on November 20th, addressed to Newburyport, with clear bishop mark 3 AP on obverse, rated 70, some paper splitting

2007, WWF Animals: Leopard, Bison, Stork, complete set of three in imperforated margin pairs and normal set, very fine.
“PAQUEBOT ADEN 5.OCT.35”, clear strike on 20 k. on 14 k. deep blue carmine on maritime cover to Aden with arrival postmark on reverse. Philatelic influenced, but an unusual ship cover, very fine

1906, Offices in Turkey 10 pa. on 2 k. tied to ppc ‘Fortresse de Metelin’ by violet R.O.P.i.T./ Mytilene 9 febr 1906 cds., via R.O.P.i.T./Constantinople 10 feb 06 cds. to Beuthen Oberschlesien with arrival mark 26.2.06. Very Fine
1865, ROPiT 2 pi. blue & rose without rose underlying below "R.O.P.iT.", fresh colour and large margins all round showing part of the cutting lines on three sides, fold in the upper part, tied by framed "P.P." in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 148) and two strikes of "COMPAGNIE RUSSE DE NAVIGATION SMYRNE" c.d.s. in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 150) to outer letter sheet to Mersina. The rare datestamp of Smyrna is described by Tchilinghirian to be used in blue and was thought to be used only on incoming mail to Smyrna which is here proved not to be the case. In spite of its faults a rare and appealing cover.
