1852/1868, collection of over 55 covers with diverse frankings and postmarks, the vast majority bearing 1852 issue frankings, illustrating a wide range of single, multiple, bisect, and three-colour frankings, postmarks including c.d.s., straight-line and boxed handstamps, condition somewhat mixed with faults to be expected in places, as typical of such classic material, though mostly fine and presentable, a couple of forgeries or dubious items as often seen, but many covers bear expert signatures noting Diena, Sorani, Colla, etc, with five certificates accompanying; a desirable and well-balanced lot showing greater diversity than typically encountered, ideal for the specialist.
1852–60, collection of over ninety stamps, mint and used, neatly arranged by denomination and comprising a strong study of the first issues, with examples from both printings with and without dot after denomination, mostly singles with a few multiples including "interspazio" pairs, the collector having made considerable effort to identify shades, plate varieties, etc, approximately one-third of the material from the 1859 Provisional Government issues, some questionable items as typical but note several stamps signed and four certificates accompany, condition slightly, but with many four-margin examples and thus superior to what is typically encountered, mostly fine or better and ideal for the specialist.
1852–59, group of eight covers, all but one bearing 1852 issue frankings including both types with and without dot after denomination, the majority single frankings of the 5 c., 25 c., or 40 c., also a cover front with 5 c. and 15 c.
