1852, William 10 c. greenish black, vertical strip of 3 with good to large margins, tied by circle of bars with adjacent “LUXEMBOURG 6 SEPT 54”, to part paid lettersheet (side flaps missing) via Belgium to London, endorsed "affranchie Ostende" and charged upon arrival with "8" pence for the 2nd British rate (¼-½ oz.). A very fine and rare early printing strip on entire; just one similar letter recorded at this rate. Certificate Demuth BPP (1998)
