LE FRANKLIN, entire letter with lauré 20 c. (cissors cut at bottom), tied by dotted star “5” with cds. “PARIS 2 DEC. 70 MINISTERE DES FINANCES” to Trouville, from there readdressed to Monaco with arrival cds. “MONACO 20 DEC 70”, fine. A rare destination, certificate Scheller (2025)

1792/1947 (ca.), Monaco, Menton and Nice postal history collection, strength in the 19th century, many better items with Napoleon 40 centimes tied by early use of the PC 4226 with cds “NICE 27 SEPT. 60” alongside, Sardinian 4th Issue Mi.-Nr. 12 pair with two fine strikes of PC 4226, Napoleon 20 centimes blue tied by PC 4220 with cds “MENTON 6 OCT. 61” alongside on folded entire to Nice, Telegraph 2 francs purple Mi.-Nr. 8 bloc of four with stuck-on-the-nose “MENTON 23 OCT. 70”, Italy Mi.-Nr. 11 on folded entire to Nice, also a fine selection of Monaco postmarks on early French issues including an impressive range on Sage with 15 centimes gray (Type I) tied by cds “MONACO 20 DEC 76” to postcard to Marseilles (minor toning), Monaco 5 centimes Mi.-Nr. 22 used as Postage Due on incoming mail from “VALLAURIS 7 -1 17”, etc., mixed condition.
