T. – Descriptive Price Catalogue of all Known Postage Stamps of the United States and Foreign Countries (New York ca. 1878), 42 + 2 pages, softcover, good condition. – In addition to this catalogue, this lot includes over ten price lists dating from 1873 (one of which is even handwritten from around 1874!). These are likely to be among the earliest in existence, as it was not until 1873 that Seebeck (1857–1899), who had emigrated to the USA with his family in 1866, opened his own stationery shop, where he also sold postage stamps. Very rare material of philatelic historical significance! Estimate: 150 Euro

1891 – HAAS, THEODOR – Handbuch sämtlicher Postkarten, Kartenbriefe, Postanweisungen und Paket-Begleitadressen (Leipzig 1891) – This is the sixth and last edition of Moschkau's handbook, which has now been edited by Theodor Haas, who joined the Senf brothers' company in January 1890. 329 pages, half leather binding, only minimal flaws that hardly detract from the bibliophile impression. PLUS: Gebrüder Senf's illustrated postage stamp catalogue from 1892 (first edition of this newly introduced catalogue, which was to achieve world renown), 544 pages, hardcover. Spine slightly separated at the top and bottom. This first edition is rarely found in such good condition. Estimate: 80 Euro

PLUS: New York 1913, catalogue for the International Philatelic exhibition, content good, but the softcover defective + catalogue for the special “Steinmetz” exhibition (signed by Steinmetz for M. P. Castle); PLUS: International Philatelic Exhibition New York 1926 (catalogue with the signature of all jury members, Report of the Jury); next International in New York 1936 with similar material; PLUS other events/Internat. exhibitions: New York 1947; FIPEX 1956; SIPEX 1966; ANPHILEX 1971; INTERPHIL 76; Ameripex 86; World Stamp Expo 1989; Anphilex 96; Pacific 97; Washington 2006; World Stamp Show 2016 with a lot of material. Most of the items in good condition.  The icing on the cake is a very unusual publication of the United States Centennial Commission, International Exhibition, 1876 System of Classification (July 1875). The brochure lists all the individual exhibition classes, as a kind of model for later philatelic exhibitions. Estimate: 400 Euro
