Wijnants, Paul: A Century of Notices to the Public. Four volumes with a total of approx. 1,780 pages, 3 volumes in large format approx. 43 x 30 cm, weight 16 kg. The books reproduce the British Postmaster General's postal announcements from the British Post Office archives on routes, tariffs, destinations, etc. of the Kingdom to almost every place in the world at that time from 1782 to 1880. An index book with 1,500 keywords facilitates the search. In immaculate condition (three volumes still shrink-wrapped), like new. Only 75 copies were printed. PLUS: Two small brochures (handouts): The impact of conventions on overweight letters in international pre-adhesive exchanged mails (2014, 24 pages, softcover) + British influence on mail traffic via the Danube to Constantinople and the East (2022, 32 pages, softcover).
