1878, double card 2 ½ cents violet (print on first and fourth page), both parts with additional franking 1867, numerals 2½ cents violet, used with long text from "MEPPEL 2 MRT 79" to England (same address on both parts), the stamp on reply part cancelled upon arrival "LONGTON STAFF. MR 22 79". A scarce and interesting card, supposed to be unique.
At this time, a reply card could not be used the UK. Both halves were instead used as a “letter” because the combined postage was the same as the GPU letter rate.
