NEWSPAPERS: 1831/1945, ‘Chronique de Jersey’, 13.8.1831, 3.1.1835 to 26.12.1935 and 17.2.1941 to 20.11.1941 and ‘The Evening Post’ 28.6.1940 to 9.5.1945 as well as a single copy of ‘La Nouvelle Chronique de Jersey’ from 19.11.1859, a total of just over 1000 copies, probably the most extensive and almost complete collection of daily newspapers from the island of Jersey apart from a few issues. To our knowledge, there is probably only one more comprehensive collection in addition to this collection, which is owned by the Jersey Public Library. Apart from the usual signs of storage and folding, mostly in good to very good condition, in 22 folders, further 36 volume collection “La haule Books”, in six large cartons
