1922, French Levant two 3 pia. 30 pa. blue tied by RHODES TURQUIE D´ASIE 27/11/22 c.d.s. to cover, transit mark POSTES FRANCAISES CONSTANTINOPLE 13/12/22 on reverse and departed through the Ottoman P.O. 14/12/22 with machine cancel. Upon its arrival at the destination Ankara the french postage was not accepted by new Angora Government and a mix of Ottoman 3 pia. blue, Republik postage two 10 pa. brown, 3 pia. rose and postage due seven 20 pa. olive-green was applied and cancelled blue ANGORA 2-21/12/22 c.d.s. A very important Levant & Turkey mix and a marvelous cover (Isfila 1079, 1091, 1101, Yvert Lev 32)
