1990/2000, mint never hinged lot of luxury souvenir collections and silver wall decoration designed by Leitão & Irmão's, in large box
1867/1950 ca., covers/cards (30+) starting pre-philatelic folded PD envelope from Lisboa to London with content, including Colonies, Mocambique, India, postage due, some different
1868/1930, interesting unused collection with many better items including Parcel post and postage due, Horta and Ponta Delgada, mostly good condition
1870/1970 (ca.), filling a stockbook, many hundreds of stamps, from singles to large multiples, replete with errors and varieties from the breadth of Portuguese Colonies, with examples from Portuguese India, Timor, Macau, Congo, Inhambane, Lourenco Marques, Téte, Quelmane, Mozambique, Zambezia, Nyassa, Sao Tome, and Angola, several hundred stamps, noting doubled, inverted, and shifted overprints, misperforations, imperforate singles and multiples, surcharges with omitted values, bisects, unissued denominations, Nyassa with two singles and one block of inverted centres (toned), the later issues including shifted printings, some post-independence including Katanga inverted overprint pair, condition mixed in places, and some potentially dubious varieties, but many fine examples, a fascinating collection ideal for further study.
1938/74 (ca.), mint never hinged collection with very few unused, without Macao, including 7 different 1939 New York Exhibition stamps, Timor A268-V268, etc. Very nice condition.
1934/99 (ca.), mint never hinged collection (might be very few unused), including many good issues as Mi. 273-93, 300-316, 326, 346-57, 383-85, several booklets and good MS.
1871/81 (ca.), Natives, unused lot with 13 singles (including double print of value '40' r. blue), 2 pairs, 4 blocks of four and 3 larger blocks, generally very fine
1858/1969, mint never hinged/unused and used research collection in five volumes. 1862-64 issues including handstruck and plate printings, Prince Carol with complete sets and many multiples. Later issues with varieties, imperf pairs, plate flaws etc. Special attention was paid to different types of stamp and cancellation forgeries especially in the classical period including complete sheets and enlarged photographs. The collector also provided interesting information on forgery detection and on Fournier and Sperati. Including Postage Dues, Officials, Occupation WWII, DDSG, some occasional faults especially in the early issues, overall in good condition
1858/1969, three volume collection and some additional material, with unused/mint never hinged and used classic stamps, few early forgeries, colour varieties and proofs, 1903 gutter pairs and perforation varieties, later off-set prints and errors, imperf issues and overprint varieties, inverted overprints on newspaper stamps. Later issues mostly mint, 1922 Ferdinand I. issues horizontal or vertical imperf stamps, S/S and M/S etc. An interesting object with high detail value
1858/1920 (ca.), mint never hinged/unused and used collection with a few covers and multiples, some better items throughout with 1865 unadopted essays (x3) for a proposed United Principalities issue imperforate in green, brown and red, in the early issues good choice of cancellations with some clear strikes, etc., some forgeries noted, mixed condition, an interesting lot
1858/1872, mostly used selection of approximately fifty stamps, mostly singles with a few pairs, with 1858 40pa and 80pa unused,1862 Moldaia-Walachia imperforates on laid or white paper, choice used 1865 2pa orange, and useful range of 1867 and subsequent printings of Prince Carol issues, with range of shades, some small imperfections and the odd forgery or dubious example, but most being four margin examples and quite fresh, a better than usual assembly of this popular area.
1858/1969, mint never hinged/unused and used collection, including Officials, Postage Dues and Areas, some better items with Mi.-Nr. 6ay, 6x, 10Ix with nice cancellations, etc., together with some souvenir sheets, some occasional faults especially in the early issues, overall in good condition, neatly housed in two Schaubek albums
1862/1970, collection in two Schaubek albums, with a good portion of Karl I and other better values such as Mi. No. 154/60, 205/07, souvenir sheets 9, 11, 13, 24/25 and from Mi-No. 1370 complete; also some service, postage due(these vary), compulsory surcharge and some New Romania
