1880, “POSTAHANE-I SHAM 1279” Folded envelope from Damas to Beyrouth with pair and single 20 Pa. green, all tied by clear all arabic "POSTAHANE-I SHAM 1279" to Beyrouth (Isfila no.2, R), unrecorded green oneliner “Damas Le 24 Mars 1880” alongside, right stamp of pair showing plate flaw missing ‘20’ (white tablet), light fold and tiny toned, otherwise fine, scarce and very attractive Syria postal history.

1896, TELGRAF VE POSTAHANE-I HALEB 1319 (A&P no.16) violet cancellation on telegraph, usual file fold, clear and in this colour a very scarce cancellation of early Syria & Turkey

1858, Folded tissue-paper envelope bootlegged from Smyrna, Turkey to Boston, carried by Capt. Watson ‘Ship Henry Hill’ with 122 bales madder roots, ms. “Via Trieste” inside, letter with embossing and black sender cachet F.C. Blackler Smyrna on reverse. At arrival in US Franklin 1 c. blue type V tied by black “PAID” in circle to envelope and red “Boston Mass. Nov/12” arrival cds. on front. Tiny file fold, otherwise Very Fine and a scarce usage.

1897/98, Ottoman military occupation of Thessaly: six covers franked with octagonal military stamps, all properly posted, with Volos, Domokos Kalabaka, Trikhala cds., very unusual; one cover with very scarce gutter pair 10 pa. from Volos, sheets and additional forgery study, good to very fine

1935/60, over 30 FDC and covers with attractive frankings, including Womans Congress 1935 up to 10 krs. on registered cover to England, mainly fine to very fine.

1840/1918, "ALL ARABIC CANCELLATIONS COLLECTION" on old selfmade album pages according to Brandt & Ceylan Types, starting pre-philatelic period with covers from Uskub, Konia, Bursa, Edirne and Ankara. Including 7 Duloz covers with cancellations of Nigde Posta Subesi 1287 (negativ type), Adana Turquie, Dersaadet 3 etc. and 25 pia. single stamps cancelled Bagdad 1865 and P.I.O. 1871, over 150 stamps with clear town cancellations, three postcards with arabic type cancellations of Eskishehir and Edirne Rüstem Pasha Hani, few different, but mainly fine.

1865/1980 (ca.), Collection of mostly excellent copies of the “Duloz” issues with nice and clear cancellations in a very lovingly designed album, 1 pia. yellow 1871 corner margin block of 15, ‘Arabkir’ on 1875 block of nine, ship cancels ‘Vapur’ and numeral railway marks, 1, 2, 3 and 6 of Smyrna Aidin railway. Lost territories with clear cancellations of Irak, Bulgaria, Greece with islands, Lebanon & Palestine, Albania and Yugoslawia, nice pieces and multiples, neatly in two albums, plus 22 Duloz envelopes. 1920/69, mostly unused/mint and cancelled collection ‘Republic of Turkey’ in album with some better and complete issues Angora Government (Mi.705-708, 714-15, A721, 728H inverted and double), as well as some special items, including Mi. No. 754-766 unused (better signed or cert.), Sivas Railway (Mi. 913-934) unused. Many better stamps signed, condition from slightly flawed to flawless.

1870/1918, Postal History of Ottoman Iraq including four covers with cancellations of Kerbela, Bagdad and Nedjef Echref, on stamps Kerkuk, Remadie, Kizlar Bad, Süleymaniye, Hanekin, Hille and Mosul.

1851/1912, delightful exhibit collection with 37 covers and cards, covering the Ottoman, Italian and French Offices in Tripoli including the consular postal services, many better usages with 1851 entire letter from Livorno via Marseilles and Malta to Tripoli de Barberia, 1881 envelope from “TRIPOLI DI BARBERIA” to Livorno with Italian Levant 5c. and 10 c. (x2) tied by mute “annulo a rombi”, official envelope headed “R. CONSOLATO D´ITALIA”  and on reverse its large seal handstamp, 1893 envelope to Constantinople with French Sage adhesives with pearled cds “TRIPOLI BARBARIE 14 FEVR 93” in mixed franking with Turkey 1 pi. adhesive (opened for display), etc.; except for the occasional fault in overall very good condition.
