1870, May, Bantam ½d. die proof in rose taken after the engraving of the head was strengthened and the die was hardened, affixed to card. Very rare, said to be one of only six produced of which some are unavailable in Institutional Collections & Museums. (S.G.Cat. GBP 12.000)
