"via Dunnstown" alongside, part of flap missing and usual file folds, poor black "CHARLOTTE TOWN DE/10 78" arrival dater on reverse. The cover is addressed to Daniel Davies, who was president of the P.E.I. Steam Navigation Co. and director of the Bank of Prince Edward Island. 1882, CHINA to INDIA cover tied by finest strike "Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company" shipmail cancellation with content, from Shanghai to Bombay / India. An extremely rare ship letter especially in such premium condition, this strike shows every detail of the intricate design with perfect clarity. Most of the known strikes are blurry or incomplete.
